The Next Time!

And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts….    2Peter 1:19

“until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts”

I wonder what fills our hearts today?  Thoughts of all we have to do, places we have to go, people we need to see?  Are thoughts of anxiety, fear, and doubt rising up as we see all that’s left to do before Christmas day?

A day will dawn when none of that will matter.  A day when the morning star, the revelation of Christ in our hearts will be complete.  His return promised.  Our hearts only focus on the One who we celebrate His first coming next Thursday, will on that day celebrate anew.  Victory over our enemy complete, as we stand in the presence of the Morning Star.

During the remainder of this Christmas Season and into the New Year, let us turn our hearts to look with anticipation and expectation of His next coming.  Celebrating the birth that will lead us to our eternal destination, and a celebration like none we could imagine, as we are welcomed to the wedding feast of the Lamb.  Let hope arise in our hearts as we focus on Jesus, the Messiah, the Soon Coming King.

The precious name of Jesus, our Morning Star.  I wait for the day when the revelation of who You are will be complete in my heart.  The day that dawns and I see You face to Face.  Let this season usher in that anticipation and expectation, that the shepherds and kings of old felt as they gazed on You in the manger.  Allowing us a little insight into that glorious day of Your second coming.
